If you've applied for teacher training, you’ll probably be invited to an interview. Here's a few tips to follow when preparing.........
- Tailor your preparation – make sure you read up on the National Curriculum and look at what is taught in the Year group you are applying for.
- Think of the qualities you’ll bring to teaching but don’t second-guess the questions, where you can bring some real life examples – you reflect on why you want to teach
- Read about the education sector
- Show passion for your subject
- Don’t forget about your other life experiences
- Be prepared for more than just the formal interview
- Get the basics right
Get a good night’s sleep, be punctual, dress smartly but comfortably, check your body language and speak clearly.
